Convenes NWC meeting.
The crises rocking the ruling All Progressive Congress on Monday took a new twist as the Appeal Court sitting in Abuja stayed action on the order of Federal High Court, suspending Comrade Adams Oshiomole as the party chairman.
The court, led by Justice Yahaya Dattijo, issued an interlocutory injunction restraining the Respondents from taking steps to give effect to the high court ruling, pending the determination of the substantive matter.
Basking in the euphoria of a favourable judgement, the embattled chairman has moved swiftly to convene an emergency National Working Committee meeting for Tuesday.
A statement in the party’s official tweeter handle reads: ” meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at the Party’s National Secretariat by 12 noon. All members of the NWC are expected to attend as important matters concerning the party will be considered and deliberated at the meeting”.
This release came few hours after it was reported in some section of the media that the former governor of Edo State held meeting with the Chief of Staff to the president, Abba Kyari few minutes after the court judgment.
