A Nigerian woman who was among voluntary returnees from Dubai was delivered of a baby on board Emirate Airline on the way to Lagos on Wednesday.
The woman, who was identified as Mrs Kafayat Amusan, went into labour 30 minutes after departure, causing the plane to make a U-turn and return to Dubai to give mother and infant access to standard medical care
Meanwhile the rest of the passengers were said to have been taken to another plane which was on its way to Lagos with the total of 256 returnees
The Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM),Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa has congratulated Mrs Amusan for another addition and praying for a safe journey back to the country.
Mrs Amusan said she will return as soon as she obtains her baby’s birth certificate and other important travel documents for her baby boy.
