Exciting times are here again in Nigeria as the country’s Ministry of Transportation is billed to kickstart the Lagos-Ibadan rail services in September.
The government have already taken delivery of 24 new ultra-modern trains for the commencement of the operation.
The operation which was scheduled to start earlier on in the year was delayed by the outbreak of COVID-19.
The Buhari-led government had embarked on massive rail project on inception with Abuja-Kaduna and Itakpe-Warri rail lines now operational.
The government has also revealed plans to connect Nigerian major cities with rail network with Lagos-Kano and Lagos-Calabar lines top on the agenda.
