Aide to former President Jonathan, Reno Omokri has revealed that the second Niger bridge is not the project of President Buhari, but already paid for by his boss Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
He made this public today on his Twitter handle when maintained he that second Niger bridge which was awarded to Julius Berger in 2014 was a personal initiative of ex President Jonathan.
The contract which he said is based on private partnership arrangement was awarded to the tune of N117 billion which the Federal Government is to contribute N30 billion which amounts to 28%, while Julius Berger was to raise 72% of the money.
Reno claimed that ex President Jonathan had already paid N21.2 billion before leaving office.
He berated the Buhari led government for saying that they awarded N306 billion for the same bridge, instead of telling Nigerians that they re-evaluated the contract to reflect Naira devaluation.
