Sacked Kano Commissioner who celebrated Abba Kyari’s death tests positive for COVID-19

The former Kano State Commissioner who was sacked for celebrating the death of Abba Kyari on social media has reputedly tested positive for COVID-19.

The commissioner, who took a swipe at the deceased in a series of Facebook post, had previously wished the late Kyari not to return as Chief of Staff to the President after testing positive for COVID-19 a few weeks ago.

Muazu Magaji, former Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure in Kano State, was at the wrong end of reportage after Gov. Abdulahi Ganduje relieved him of his duty for his Facebook post that seemingly celebrated the death of the former Chief of Staff to the President.

A statement releases on Magaji’s social media account reads:

“Dear all, I do truly apologize to you not getting across to me on phone or messages. I have been indispose due to ongoing health challenges some of us going through in Kano. In Sha Allah it will be well.
