The Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr, has signed a two-years contract extension with the Nigeria Football Federation.
The confirmation to this effect came from the NFF 1st Vice President, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, revealed that the German tactician was rewarded for taking the Super Eagles to the 2018 World Cup.
“He has done a very good job and when someone does a good job, he gets a reward. We are proud to have taken Mr. Rohr on board and we are delighted to be signing this contract extension with him,” Akinwunmi said.
Rohr was said to have accepted a more stringent contract which will now make it mandatory for him to reside in Nigeria and attend Nigerian Premier League matches.
His immediate job will be to qualify the team for the forthcoming African Cup of Nations and take the country through the preliminary round of the 2022 World Cup.
