House of Representatives has summoned Minister of Niger Delta Affairs Senator Godswill Akpabio and the Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) over the N40 billion said to be missing from the commission.
The former Governor of Akwa Ibom State is expected to appear before the investigative Committee on Monday.
The committee on Friday heard from the former Interim Managing Director of the Commission, Joi Nunieh.
Nunieh has had a running battle with Akpabio who she accused of financial improprieties and sexual assault.
The friction between the two reached tipping point when Nunieh was “rescued” from being arrested by policemen who she alleged were working for the minister.
