There is palpable tension in the camp of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate in Edo State, pastor Ize-Iyamu as the certificates presented by his running mate, Ganiyu Audu are said to be riddled with multiple name variants which suggests certificate forgery.
Vista.ng learnt that there were obvious discrepancies in certificates and identification instrument Audu submitted Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
These inconsistencies are said to be similar to the ones that cost the APC electoral victory in the last Governorship Election in Bayelsa State.
The Action Democratic Party (ADP) has now instituted a court case at the Federal High Court, Abuja, seeking to disqualify the candidate of the APC as result of the defective certificates of his running mate.
The ADP is asking the court to rule that certificates submitted by Audu are forged and that he was not fit to stand for the September 19 governorship election in Edo.
