Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, is looking set to clinch a second term ticket after taking an early lead in the Saturday’s Governorship Elections in Ondo State.
The governor is currently leading in the results of 12 Local Government Areas announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) so far.
The APC candidate has established 84,011 votes lead margin and is favoured to consolidate the lead.
So far, Akeredolu has polled 189,489, while Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is in the second position with 108,195 votes. The Deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi of Zenith Labour (ZLP) is in third place with 37,806 votes from the 12 LGAs.
The local governments results announced so far are those from Ile Oluji, Akoko North-East, Akoko South-West, Akoko South-East, and Akoko North-West
Others are Irele, Ose, Ifedore, Owo, Okitipupa, Akure North-West, and Idanre.
