The build-up to the September 19 Governorship Elections in Edo State is gathering momentum with the major contenders, the People’s Democratic Party and All Progressives Congress not engaging in constant verbal fireworks.
Not wanting to be outdone, the for National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomole, has sworn that the sitting Governor, Godwin Obaseki, will witness defeat come Saturday.
Oshiomole, in an interview played on Channels TV programme, Politics Today, said that Obaseki does not have what it takes to win elections in the state sighting the governor’s loss of his polling unit in the last general elections as proof to this effect.
The former Edo Governor warned that comparing him with the incumbent Governor tantamount to comparing a political lizard with a political tiger.
He accused Obaseki of failing to continue with some of the projects he started when he was in power, saying that the PDP candidate is only few hours away from impending defeat.
