The Nigerian Governmentto has called on its United States counterpart to fish out the killer of Nigerian activist, Toyin Salau
The Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa made this call on Monday in a reaction to the tragic incident
Dabiri-Erewa, through a statement signed by Mr Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Head of Media and Public Relations Unit of NiDCOM, described Salau’s killing as depressing and cruel and called on the US to ensure a thorough investigation of the incident.
Dabiri-Erewa went on and commiserated with the immediate family of Ms Salau whose dead body was recovered days after she was declared missing in the city of Tallahassee, Florida, the United States.
Salau was last seen after her speech at Black Lives Matters protests in the city, near Wahnish Way and Orange Avenue, Tallahassee on June 6.
Her last contact with the outside world was a tweeted she released, lamenting that she was sexually assaulted by a man around Park Avenue and Richview Road, Tallahassee, Florida.
