Heartland FC Coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu has revealed that most foreign based players do not accord adequate respect to local coaches.
Ilechukwu who had an exciting stint at MFM before his move to Heartland worked as assistant to Imama Amapakabo and Kennedy Boboye during their disastrous time at the head of the Nigerian U-23 team which saw the Dream Team fail to qualify for 2021 summer Olympics.
Speaking in a chat with footballlive.ng. the coach stated that the foreign based players in the squad at the time gave the technical crew serious headache.

“Most foreign players don’t respect local coaches, they want to do their own thing.
“Most are brought into the team late even if the Coach had been training with home based players” he said
