The Director General of Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Dr Chike Chikwe Ihekweazu has revealed that Made-in-Senegal COVID-19 test kits will be available in Nigeria in July.
Dr Ihekweazu made this revelation while answering questions during a TVC programme ‘Your View’ on Tuesday morning.
The NCDC DG further revealed that he is in contact with his Senegalese counterpart on weekly bases to ensure the country gets the most cost effective price for the test kits.

When asked about a home-grown remedies like the Magadascar Tonic and the Ooni of Ife’s local herbs, he emphasized that NCDC is open to remedies that will combat the virus but must be tested and certified by NAFDAC.
