Baring any last minute changes, Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) are primmed to commence an indefinite strike as the 14 days ultimatum given to Federal and State Governments elapsed.
NARD revealed this in a statement it released on Sunday morning.
The statement reads: “NARD wishes to announce the end of her 14 day ultimatum to govt at all levels by 12mid night yesterday.
Members are advised to stay calm as the Leadership of the Association will give further directive.”
NARD on the 30th day of May reeled out a 10 point resolution to the government which borders on welfare of members, after earlier condemning what it called insensitivity on the part of the government.
According to the group, “It is insensitivity on the side of Federal government to cut Health and Education budget and allow the renovation of NASS Building at this critical time.”
