Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomole, has come under heavy criticisms for fronting Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu for the forthcoming Governorship Elections in the state.
The Deputy Governor of the state, Philip Shaibu, in a heavily worded statement released by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Benjamin Atu, accused Oshiomole of seeking an unconstitutional third term, through Ize-Iyamu who he referred to as “stooge”, but is convinced that the former Governor will be rejected by Edo people.
“The truth is that Ize-Iyamu is merely a stooge. The real man seeking the governorship position is Adams Oshiomhole who has perfected the plan to betray democracy by seeking a third term in office. The price that Oshiomhole will pay for projecting Ize-Iyamu is an outright rejection.
“We need a new kind of politics and policies that reflect the best value of our people. Politics that focuses on bringing people together to work for the common good,” he said
Shaibu said the state cannot risk the future of Edo State with “a man’s shrunken aspirations.”
