Former Nigeria’s Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has apologised to Eyo Charles, the Daily Trust reporter he verbally abused in a press conference for seeking to know how his recent tours were funded.
In a written apology which he published on his Facebook page on Wednesday morning, Fani-Kayode apologized to the reporter and his friends in the Media whom he may have offended by the use of such uncharitable words.
Fani-Kayode was seen in a viral video of his press conference in Calabar furiously abusing Daily Trust reporter, Eyo, for beaming for asking for the source of his travel funds.
The video attracted condemnations from many Nigerians who aired their disappointments since the event took place on Tuesday.
Daily Trust Newspaper had earlier stated its displeasure in the manner with which their reporter was treated and stated that the life of their reporter is in Fani-Kayode’s hands.
The ex Minister has, however, in his apology letter denied ever threatening the life of the reporter.
