Give free subscriptions to Nigerians, Keyamo urges DSTV, MTN, Glo, Others

Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo has pleaded with Pay-TV companies and mobile telephone operators in the country to give free subscriptions to Nigerians as the hardship occasioned by the outbreak of coronavirus and subsequent shutdown of businesses around the country kicks in.

Keyamo urged DSTV and Startimes to give their existing customers at least one month subscription while  MTN, 9mobile, Airtel and Glo should consider giving out some token airtime and data.

“As one of the Ministers entrusted with the welfare of Nigerian workers, I politely urge @DStvNg & @StarTimes_Ng to extend all EXISTING subscriptions by at least one month, free-of-charge, as their own contribution to ease the pains of Nigerian workers at this time of lockdown,”
