The Federal Government through the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama has invited the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Zhou Pingjian to convey the Nigeria’s concerns at the alleged maltreatment of Nigerians in China.
Recall there have been reports in social media of Chinese officials seizing passports of some Nigerians living in the city of Guangzhou and driving many out of their residences.
Onyeama has now stated that the reason for the invitation was for the Chinese government to intervene in the situation.
