Enugu Court remands two law students in prison for N120m Ponzi fraud

A fraud gang, known as E-LIFE SERIES, headed by two Law Students of the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus (UNEC), Messrs. Omeje Light and Benjamin Arinze Zion, has been busted by Enugu State Police Criminal Investigations Department.

The fraud syndicate specializes in defrauding unsuspecting individuals through promises of doubling their investments in their business; otherwise known as Ponzi scheme.

Consequently, they have been able to defraud unsuspecting clients, to the tune of 120 million Naira.

In their confessional statements, they admitted that they falsely promised their unsuspecting clients huge profits on their investments with their fake “E-Life Series” platform, which they claim that it has its Headquarters in New York, United States of America.

The suspects have been arrainged at Enugu Magistrate Court, where the sitting Magistrate ordered that they are remanded in prison, pending their re-arraingment in a High Court.
