The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has kicked off the prosecution the former Minister of Special Duties and Inter Governmental Affairs Tanimu Turaki at the Federal High Court.
The accused was paraded before the Justice of the Federal high court Justice Inyang Ekwo on a 16 count charge bordering on fraud.
Mr Sampson Okpetu Turaki’s Special Assistant, Santee Essentials Limited and Pasco Investment Limited were other individual/companies arranged alongside the former Minister.
EFCC is accusing Turaki of committing the said crime during his time as the Minister for Special Duties and Inter Governmental Affairs between 2013 and 2015 under Goodluck Jonathan.
The accused also served as the Supervising Minister of Labour from 2014-2015 under the former president.
