This is not a good time for the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki after his Commissioner for Environment and Sustainability, Dame Omoua Oni-Okpako, resigned her appointment in the build-up to the September 17 Governorship Elections.
The Commissioner was said to have tendered her resignation letter to Governor Obaseki on Thursday.

Obaseki’s camp in the past few weeks have witnessed some high profiled defection to the opposition All Progressives Congress with Commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants throwing in the towel to join the Osagie Ize-Iyamu’s camp.
