President Muhammadu Buhari has named the Itakpe-Warri standard gauge rail line after his predessesor, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
This was confirmed by the Minister for Transportation, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi at the commencement of the test-run for the coaches bought for the rail line.
“Today, we continued test-run of our new coaches on the completed Itakpe-Warri standard gauge rail line.
“We’ve named the largest station on this route – the Agbor railway facility and station after former President Goodluck Jonathan,” Amaechi said.
This opens another chapter in the relationship between the two leaders who have managed to get along in the past few years after an initial frosty relationship after the 2015 general elections.
