The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina has said that his principal, President Buhari is leading Nigeria well and that the country is lucky to have him at a time like this.
Mr Adesina revealed this on Tuesday via his Twitter handle, while responding to a quote that has been making round since the appointment of Prof Gambari as the Chief of Staff to the President.
Recall that Mr Femi Adesina had on July 2008 in Sahara Reporters wrote a damning article against the current Chief of staff with the title, ‘Gambari: the slap next time’.
In the article, Mr Adesina said:
“Gambari enslaved himself to please his paymasters. Now, 13 years after, the shackles are still tied around his neck, threatening to asphyxiate him. What an eternal lesson for fawning bootlicking grovellers to learn. Old sins indeed have long shadows”.
Mr Adesina called the people who resursitsted his article of 12 years “mischief makers”, saying he is just laughing at them.
“A quote from mischief makers is making the rounds, ascribed to me. I just dey laugh. I am a Buharist any day, no apologies, and I believe the President is leading the country well. In fact, we are lucky to have him at a time like this. All attempts to demonize me will fail”, Mr Adesina said.
Meanwhile, there has been unconfirmed rumours making round that all is not well between the new Chief of Staff to the President and Mr Adesina.
