Nigeria’s President Buhari has extended the eased lockdown his administration announced four weeks ago to another four weeks.
This was disclosed today by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha during the daily Covid-19 briefing by the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 in Abuja.
The Federal Government had in the month of June announced an eased lockdown that took effect on July 7, thereby lifting the inter- state lockdown which was imposed on March.
The government also extended curfew from 4pm to 10pm as against 6am to 8pm which was earlier the case.
Owners of businesses like pubs and night club were on high hopes that the government would make an announcement for a total easing of the lockdown by lifting the curfew.
The owners of such businesses will now have to wait for few more weeks to find out if the FG will deem it fit to allow for a full return to life in the country
