Former Super Eagles and Everton striker, Daniel Amokachi, has been appointed as the Special Assistant on Sports to President Mohammadu Buhari.
In a letter of appointment dated August 17th 2020 and signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Mr. Boss Mustapha, the FG’ chief scribe to Amokachi that “Mohammadu Buhari , President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has approved your appointment as Special Assistant on Sports. The appointment takes effect from the 11th of August, 2020.”
The Bull, as he is popularly called will now be saddled with the responsibility of advising the President on all sports matters.
Amokachi won the African Cup of Nation with the Super Eagles and was part of the victorious Dream Team who won gold medal at the Atlanta 96 Olympics
