A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has sentenced a former Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) Executive Director (ED), Captain Ezekiel Bala Agaba, to seven years imprisonment over the laundering N1.5 billion.

The court agreed that the prosecuting council was able to prove beyond every reasonable doubt that Agaba, who was in charge of Maritime, Safety and Shipping, looted the said money from the agency.
