BREAKING: Appeal Court upholds Gov. Bello’s election, dismisses PDP, SDP, APP petitions

A Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has upheld the election victory of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State.

The court, in separate unanimous judgements by five-man panel led by Justice Adamu Jauro, upheld the judgment of the Election Petition Tribunal which dismissed the four appeals for failure to substantiate allegation of malpractices against the outcome of the November 16 polls.

The appellate court, therefore, dismissed the four appeals filed against INEC, governor Bello and APC, by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the Actions People’s Party, APP, the Social Democratic Party, SDP, and the Democratic People’s Party, PDP.

The stage is now set for the Appeal Court to be tested at the Supreme Court as fillers from source close to the PDP has hinted that the party is determined to go all the way and appeal the judgment at the apex court.
