The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has stated that Boko Haram and other terrorist groups from the Sahel have come to stay in Nigeria.
Kanu, in a statement through his Twitter handle on Sunday morning, advocated “exit” as the only means other regions can overcome the insurgents as there is nothing that can be done to stop the terrorist groups from their trade of terror.
Kanu’s tweet reads: “Whether you like it or not, BokoHaram, Herdsmen, ISWAP and all the Islamic TERRORISTS from the Sahel have come to stay. They’ve found safe haven in Nigeria now & FOREVER. There’s absolutely NOTHING you can do about it.”
There have been been renewed attacks by Boko Haram and other terrorist groups in the Northeast Nigeria.
Recall that the convoy of Borno State Governor, Prof Babagana Zulum was recently attacked on his way to an IDP camp in Baga
The governor was reported to, seemingly, blame attack on act of sabotage within the military fold.
