President Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Mr Bashir Ahmad, has endorsed the death penalty sentencing for blasphemy of Yahaya Shariff-Aminu.
Mr Shariff-Aminu was sentenced to death by Kano State Sharia Court for making a music considered as blasphemous in Islam.
Not deterred by the public outrage that followed the sentencing, Ahmad Tuesday morning endorsed an anti blasphemy tweet made by one Twitter user, Sariki.
“When it comes to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) everyone else’s becomes secondary”
“He’s the most remarkable man in Islam and his disrespect would and should never ever be tolerated by any stupid human,” Sariki said.
Bashir in 2015 had made it emphatically clear that he supports death sentence as a punishment for any act considered as blasphemy in Islam.
Bashir Ahmad, (Buhari’s media aide) is one of the Muslims in the North who supports “death penalty” for blasphemy under the Sharia Law.

“I cant pretend or keep silent. I support the death penalty for BLASPHEMY. That’s my belief and I do not and will never support,” he said in an old tweet.
This tweet has now caused an outrage among Nigerians on social media who are said to be perplexed as to that an aide to the President could take such stance.
