Senator Ifeanyi Araraume and Tokunbo Abiru have emerged winners of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary for Imo North and Lagos East Senatorial Districts.
Araraume was declared winner by the chairman of the APC Primary Election Committee for Imo North, Umar Gana Nguma on Thursday.
The former senator scored 22,944 votes against Chidinma Uwajumogu’s 3,757 votes.
Meanwhile, Tokunbo Abiru has been picked by APC as its candidate for Lagos East senatorial by-election. The former top banker was nominated by 1200 party delegates in Ikorodu area of the State on Thursday.
Abiru will be hoping to fill the vacant Lagos East senatorial seat following the death of Senator Adebayo Osinowo few months ago.
