The COVID-19 positive Chief of Staff to the Nigerian President, Abba Kyari is said to have now tested negative for the dreaded virus.

There have been a lot of controversy and speculations in the media surrounding the health of the president’s right hand man but sources close to the family had maintained that Kyari was clinically stable and was on his way to full recovery. Information that filter in from an unnamed source now has it that the CoS has finally tested negative and awaiting confirmatory test to be declared 100% to rejoin the society.

In the same vein, the Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed was said to have also tested negative to COVID-19 late last week and is now, just like Kyari, waiting for the second confirmatory test before being discharged.

The last governor to test positive for the dreaded virus, Seyi Makinde of Oyo state took to his twitter handle Sunday evening to announce that his tests have returned negative for the second time. He is now expected to resume duty as the governor of the state after stepping aside to receive medical attention.

“I am deeply moved by your prayers and support throughout this period. I am so thankful. This evening, I received my second negative test result for COVID-19. I especially thank Prof Temitope Alonge, who acted in my stead as Head of the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force,” tweeted Makinde
