The Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai has seemingly praised the Minister of Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo for his stance on the 774,000 job openings squabble currently rocking the the Ministry and joint committee of the National Assembly.
Keyamo had stuck to his gun, insisting on the lawmakers have no constitutional power to interfer in the modalities for employment in the said job openings, an opinion which has seen the National Assembly asking the President to suspend the programme.
El-Rufai has, however, backed Keyamo over his position saying that the latter is a “dedicated patriot”, a fact which accounts for his closeness with the President.
He advised Keyamo, whose actions he said was guided by public interest, to remain steadfast.
“Minister Festus Keyamo @fkeyamo is a dedicated patriot. A good man whose directions, decisions & actions are guided by public interest & concern for the voiceless. That is why PMB loves him like a son! Remain steadfast my brother,” El-Rufai said in a Twitter post.
