The Senate Chief Whip, Orji Uzor-Kalu, on Monday visited two former Heads of State in what political analysts suspect is a strategic move in preparation for the 2023 presidential election.
Kalu is one of the Southeastern politicians who many believe are positioning to replace President Muhammadu Buhari in the next three years.

The former Governor of Abia State in a post in his social media handle wrote; “After my private visit to General Ibrahim Babangida, I paid a courtesy call to the residence of former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, where I was warmly received by the General”.
The clamour for an Igbo President in 2023 have recently received the backing of not only people for the Southeastern region but also from the Northern Nigeria.
