*** Says consultations still ongoing
The candidate of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the November 6th gubernatorial election, Valentine Ozigbo has assured members of the party that he is doing everything necessary to win the election.
Ozigbo in a maiden letter he addressed to the members of the party in the state gave account of what he has been doing since he won the ticket of the party.
The former CEO of Transcourp who apologized for a rescheduled campaign kickoff revealed that he has been doing a high powered consultations since his emergence as the party’s flagbearer.
Mr Ozigbo said that eighty percent of his time has been spent on galvanising his fellow aspirants, key stakeholders and the entire party in order to face the main election on a united front.
He expressed his joy on “tremendous success” he has recorded in the mission to foster a united PDP ahead of the November polls.
The PDP flagbearer went on to debunk the rumours making round that some of the party stakeholders and his fellow aspirants were not consulted before enlisting them in a high powered campaign council list that went viral some weeks ago.
He revealed that he consulted many of the aggrieved elements in the party personally on multiple occasions and made efforts to meet their demands, but conceded that it appeared he needs to consult more.
He further stated that the campaign list in circulation is a work-in-progress as the state party Chairman, Ndubuisi Nwosu has asked Local Government Chairmen to review the list with input from NEC, BoT, NASS members, State EXCOS and other leaders in their areas.
Ozigbo who agreed that the party has lost valuable time in getting set for the campaign, believes that it is better to move forward in unity with an all-inclusive team that will win the election.
