Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan former aide, Pastor Reno Omokri has suggested that the fire that gutted the office of the Accountant General of the Federation earlier today is not unconnected with the statement made yesterday by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to probe President Buahri’s claim of N2 trillion oil subsidy expenditure.
The People’s Democratic Party had yesterday accused the members of APC and the people working in the presidency of cornering the money they claimed they paid for subsidy.
Part of the PDP statement read:
“The party charges officials of APC -led government to stop lying to Nigerians and tell the truth of how trillions of naira, claimed to have been paid as subsidy, was cornered by APC leaders and members of the cabal in the Buhari Presidency.”
Today while suggesting that there are more that meets the eyes as regards the fire that burnt the office of the Accountant General of the Federation, Reno tweeted:
“The fire in the Accountant General’s office started a day after @OfficialPDPNig called for an audit into the so called subsidy regime that General @MBuhari’s government claims to have spent over ₦2 trillion on? How convenient! Who is fooling who?”
As at the time of filing this report, there has not been any official statement as to the cause of the fire.
